There really isn't a whole lot going on in the world of weather right now... The NHC does have a slight risk of development in the Gulf and sub-tropical storm Laura is heading out to sea... Eventually the remnants of Laura will hit Ireland/Great Britain with some rain and wind... We will have to watch an old stalled out frontal boundary in the Gulf but honestly right now the threat of development is very low! I know the economy is the number one story in the news, which is very understandable, but lets not forget about the people of SE Texas... It's going to take a long long time to get everything back to normal!!!
Also really quick we started the National Forecast Contest today... This is my 7th year in the contest and like usual I'm excited to get everything started! We have a team of 30 which is much larger than most teams we have had in the past... So far we are off to a great start as almost everyone showed up for the 1st forecast discussion... I'm VERY pleased with the commitment and I truly feel if we continue to show that same effort and passion everyday no-one can beat us!
